So I’ve been getting the itch the revive this blog, but I have no idea how. I got burnt out on reading healthy living blogs and felt that I didn’t really want to be part of that realm. Also, I’m no expert so I feel uncomfortable giving advice. I mean, I know SOME STUFF. But it’s nothing that you couldn’t Google yourself. Last thing I want to do is come across as a guru or know-it-all when I’m a student just as much as anyone else.

Then what the hell do I write about that isn’t completely trite? My daily meals? PFFTTT. Salad, coffee, and a bag of Cheetos. My workouts? Blah. My opinions? OMG much important! So srs!

I really don’t know, guys. You tell me, because even though I have a Leo ego, it isn’t big enough to delude myself into believing that my life or my advice is that interesting. I’m not bashing myself here or fishing for compliments. I’m genuinely asking what kind of things you like to read. As far as fitness goes I like to read t-nation.com, but I don’t think I’m quite of the caliber to be writing articles of that level, hah.

I guess I’ll figure it out. In the meantime, gimme ideas!

PS. I’m feeling a lot better from my last post.

  1. Just post a buncha selfies!!

Personally I like transformation stories, and seeing the progress of a “fitness journey”. You know those chicks we look at in Bodybuilding sites??

I become super curious about their struggles to get there, what they looked like before, how they mentally prepare or come undone about it.

It’s all about the human DRAMA! The difference between you and any other person that might be into fitness, is that you’re taking the time to put your thoughts out there, so that that lets us take a peek into someone else’s head.

Review stuff, try new things! (like oil pulling LOL)

    That’s usually interesting enough!

  2. I found your blog from your LJ when I stumbled on it using the “random journal” feature. That was back when you started it and I liked your sense of humor and writing style. Sorry for not leaving any comments until now.

I think my favorite post was the sprinting one…I’d like to suggest posting more things that might kill you.

PS. I hadn’t checked this in probably half a year and it’s kinda blown my mind that I checked it the day you chose to revive it. Also, good to see you’re feeling better. Good luck

  3. Firstly, glad to hear you are feeling better and writing again! YAY!
Personally, I find blogs hard to keep up. My Sister and I use to write for a Turkish fashion blog (before she got married) and it was not easy. Then she got married, I got a job and my own blog is still under construction. 🙁
    May be one day…

Enough of me blabbing about myself… on to the topic at hand…
I LOVE your workout routines. As a Muslim girl, I do most of my exercises at home and only go to the gym with when one of my girlfriends can accompany me. So far, I have tried (emphasis on tried) all your routines you have put on your website. Some are really hard, like the “Cardio Circuit” from 9/18… I used only 5 lbs but I was pooped after only the 3 rep… How do you do it? You are really strong… 🙂

I do the Fit Geek Workout #1 (with the inch worm) regularly at least 2wice a week. I love it… At first it was hard but now I enjoy it… I make my Mom do it once in awhile too… My Dad laughs at us…

So in conclusion, more routines would be great!

PS: I finally can do 2 chin-ups now! SUPER PROUD of myself. YAY! 🙂

    • Wow, thanks so much for responding! I’ll definitely come up with more routines in the future. And congrats on the chin-ups. It’s a great feeling once you’re finally able to do them.

  4. I’m right there with you Allie. Fitness and health seem to be the domain of the self-centered. Just keep being honest and if you enjoy it, keep doing it.
